A Charming 1860/80s antique Victorian smokers bow chair or Captains chair It has a curved top rail supported by 8 turned spindles set into a solid worn elm seat. The turned legs are supported by double cross stretchers. The back of the seat has the makers metal brass plaque, the makers were from Whitechapel London England. Would make a lovely desk chair, hall or kitchen chair.

Good condition. Solid, marks commensurate with age. It has been stripped and refinished at some point. The chair isn't symetrical - it has more wear to one side than the other. Some old marks and stains to the seat commensurate with age.
