This is a Toby Philpot, Toby Jug, Pitcher, made by Beswick Ltd. Longton, England between 1948 and 1973. Beswick made a very high quality Toby Jug with excellent detail especially in the facial features, and clothing. This jug is styled in the Philpot or Ordinary Style, where he is modeled holding a jug of frothy brew with both hands on his left knee.
